From M.Sc days at Leeds University we have been using Dr Hoek's software, which was at the time to be had for free and which was passed around on the old floppy discs. Times have moved on since, but the software is still available, albeit vastly improved. Gone are the days of running the software through DOS, punching data into Excel spreadsheets and then printing them to files for DIPS to read. That said, we now have to pay for our Windows compatible software with all the whistles and bells. But it is worth the money - stability analysis of rock slopes using stereographic projections is done throughout the world with DIPS, available from Rocscience in Toronto, Canada. This was their first, but Rocscience has come up with a slew of fantastic software and I have just had the pleasure of making use of their 'Slide' package for the stability analyses of pit slopes for an open cast coal mine. It was an absolute pleasure to use and the statistics that come with the program are a phenomenal addition. Have a look at what is on offer here.
