GeoZone - Applied Geology & Geotechnics
Team Members
GeoZone has a small but focused staff who we like to think are dedicated to their craft. We try to have fun while trying to solve all those geotechnical challenges, and the first step in achieving this is keeping our stress levels at manageable levels. We do this through staff training, good planning, a very flat management structure, and a willingness to back our staff through thick and thin. Often the hours are long, the driving a killer and the working environment far from being a plush air conditioned office and we acknowledge this and attempt to ease the path as much as we can. If we can send field staff out to site with a firm grasp of what is required of them, a broad overview of the geotechnical problem which they are addressing, and with the right training, then we are halfway there in terms of resting easy, getting the job done properly and ensuring that the team members gain valuable experience and advance their careers. Their success is our success, so here's to the GeoZone team.
Gerald Davie
Gerald heads up GeoZone GeoServices, and with his 25 years experience, MSc degree, internet marketing skills and capacity for hard work he is well placed to make GeoZone the leading geotechnical and geological consultancy in the region.

Sumaya Khan
Sumaya spent much of her time working in a geotechnical soils laboratory before coming to GeoZone. We threw her straight into the deep end, sending her to log core and supervise some roughty toughty drillers for exploratory drilling for quarries in the greater Durban area. And it has all been good, so we look forward to her growing with us and playing an increasingly important role in the company. |

Musa Zuma
Musa Zuma is a gem. He has presence, negotiating skills, an immense capacity for hard work, and a Code 10 drivers licence, which makes him an important member of the team. Perhaps even more important is his sense of humour and willingness to tackle any job sent his way. |
|
Musa Zuma is in the township of Umlazi drilling holes in the ground. So again we don't have a picture of him. |
